One of the most revolutionary styles, revived by the American Craft movement in the late 1970s and early 1980s, is the India Pale Ale or IPA.

These beers have a higher amount of hops added than other styles, which gives them a more bitter taste and an intense aroma. The origins of the IPA date back to the 1790s in London, although from 1947 onwards and throughout the 1950s, production of this style almost disappeared, being found only in a few British towns.

From the 16th century, the United Kingdom founded colonies in India, along with other European countries, taking advantage of the country's internal conflicts. In 1845, all of India came under the control of the British East India Company.

Many British people emigrated to India to establish their lives there, but the problem was that beer was not produced in this country.
